Explore the Croatian Adriatic under sail. Monohull sailing yachts available for charter along the Dalmatian Coast and islands.
Croatia is one of the great sailing destinations of the Mediterranean. With over 1,185 islands, a reliable summer breeze, and hundreds of sheltered bays and marinas, the Dalmatian Coast offers some of the best sailing conditions in Europe.
A sailing yacht gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace — anchoring in a quiet cove for a swim, sailing into a harbour town for lunch, or island-hopping through the Dalmatian archipelago. Most charter routes run between Split/Trogir and Dubrovnik, with stops at islands such as Hvar, Brač, Vis, Korčula and Mljet.
Sailing yachts are available in a range of sizes, typically from around 30 to 55 feet. A 35–40 foot yacht with three cabins suits most families or groups of four to six people comfortably. Larger racing and performance yachts are also available for experienced groups.
Most sailing yacht charters in Croatia depart from marinas near Split or in Trogir, which is around 5km from Split Airport. Dubrovnik is also a popular base, particularly for one-way charters heading north through the islands. Pula in Istria covers the northern Adriatic.
If you're looking for more space, stability and comfort — particularly for families or mixed groups — a catamaran may be worth considering. Twin hulls provide a level, stable platform with significantly more living space than a monohull of comparable length.
